Job Postings - Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society
Executive Director
Would you like to become part of one of New England's most respected and effective animal welfare organizations? Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society (MRFRS) has helped over 130,000 cats since its founding in 1992, and now they're looking for a passionate, people-friendly professional to join the team as the Executive Director (ED)!
As the ED, you'll work with the board of directors to lead the organization through its next phase of growth and development. It's an opportunity to improve the lives of all cats, and to provide support and education for the people who care about them. The ED is responsible for overseeing the organization's consistent achievement of its vision, mission, and financial objectives. The ED is also responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising all aspects of MRFRS operations, overseeing the development and implementation of a strategic plan for the long-term growth and success of the organization, and ensuring high-quality animal care while increasing cat adoptions and spay/neuter for cats. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of experience in a senior leadership position with strong and transferable skills, preferably in animal sheltering or the animal welfare industry.
MRFRS operates a physical shelter in Northeast Massachusetts in the small town of Salisbury, a network of foster homes, and a mobile spay/neuter clinic.
